Shutting down to lock and having to insert password

Hi all ...This is my first time in this form so bare with me.The problem I woud like to solve is to stop my laptop from shutting down to lock and have to insert password.I don't remember adding this when I first got it but if I did shame on me.

You probably hav to change your power settings.....

Go to control panel>classic view>power options. Ther you will find require password on wake up, click on that and change the settings that are currently unavailable and select dont require a password.

To change the stanby time click on change when the computer sleeps, set put the computer to sleep to never.
