what exactly are you trying to adjust, are you wanting to run a system restore, create a restore point, or change the frequency of how often your system wants to create a restore point?

You'll have to edit the registry. By default Vista takes 15% of hard drive space for memory.

Open up start menu, type regedit and press enter. Accept UAC. Back up the registry first by selecting My Computer, then File, Export All. Then:

1) Navigate to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\SystemRestore\Cfg

2) Double Click DiskPercent

3) Check/Select Decimal

4) Change the value in the value data box - from 15% to 5% for example. It must be bigger than 300MB for system restore to work.
