Short answer, yes there are small differences.

WD VelociRaptor 150 GB SATA Hard Drives ( WD1500HLFS )

WD VelociRaptor 300 GB SATA Hard Drives ( WD3000GLFS )

Average Latency and Temps plus User Sectors Per Drive are different.
And Formatted Capacity.

which one is faster?

The read and seek times are the same on both drives.
The 150 Gig wins on Average Latency, but the difference is minimal.
I don't think you would be able to tell the difference. They are talking in Milli seconds, thats fast. It's 2.5ms, there is no way you could spot the difference.

I would go with the one with the more space if it was me buying it. Anyway you look at it they are both fast drives.
