Vista - error code 80070663 when I tried to update microsoft .net framework 3.5 family update

Error(s) found:
"Code 80070663 windows updater encountered an known error" when I
tried to update microsoft .net framework 3.5 family update (kb959209) x86 for windows vista 32 bit.

What should I do? I have tried to install this update many times but still getting same error. Thanks in advance for help.

You probably have, but you can double-check in Programs and Features.

Control Panel > Programs and Features.

I definitely did update .net framework 3.5 sp1. What to do next?

The next thing I'd check would be whether it will install in Safe Mode.

From what I've just been reading, SP1 includes everything in kb959209.
Just hide it and ignore it.

My pc is running fine, and u can't install an update in safe mode because u r not connected to internet when u r on safe mode LOL.

Thanx for help tho. Just hope that someone has the right answer for me...:P

Sorry if I've wasted your time. What is being written about this update is contradictory. I have my updates set to download and let me install later,
and I forget others do it differently.

I have NET3.5 SP1 and Windows Update hasn't sent me this one.
For the time being I'll consider myself lucky.
