Installed software, now I want to uninstall, but I get an error message. Trying to remove manually, however Vista will not allow me to delete the folder or anything contained within. Under the security tab I enabled full access for everything listed. (why are all those there anyway? "creator owner", "system", "administrator" ((me)), "user" ((me)), and "trusted installer"). I'm the only one who uses this PC and I cannot access or manipulate any files? what gives? any one have a simple solution for me.

Download revo uninstaller, using that you will be able to uninstall the problematic program.

Thanks! the revo uninstaller worked. But, again I'd like to know why I need special permission rights to access my own computer files.

Answering the replies in order; I was trying to remove Medieval II Total War. It suddenly stopped working when I went from the 2D campaign map to 3D battle map. Although it has worked for several months with no problem, it suddenly started crashing. I wanted to re-install and see if that would solve the problem. I can run Half-Life 2 and Crysis on full-maxed out settings just fine. The error message when trying to uninstall had something to do with the setup.exe.

My specs are as follows:
Vista Home Premium SP1
AMD Phenom 9750 Quad-Core 2.4G
8G Ram
Nvidia GeForce 9500 GS

Thanks for your help.
