wsock32.dll error

I get this after I install certain games like Bio Shock and others. So every time I go to play the games I have to keep clicking on the little window to make it go away and to run the game. I have looked for a fix and I'm betting not to well because someone in here will have a remedy for me. But just like it says WSOCK32.DLL problem and it is an annoying problem.

even if its for Windows 98. Can you scan your computer with Malwarebytes to rule out any infection? Along with your installed security program. Malwarebytes is here:
