'Video LUT loader bc.exe has stopped working' Help!

I've just installed basICColor 4.1.12 and calibrated my monitor.

However, on reboot, I got the message 'Video LUT loader bc.exe has stopped working'.

If I look in Control Panel/Windows Defender/Tools, it is not listed as a program that Windows has prevented from working. (There is nothing listed there at all)

I can click in the system tray and start it manually. But, it fails to start again after the next reboot.

Any ideas?

I'm Vista x64. nVidia Quadro FX 1700. Driver 182.67, if that makes a difference.

Thanks.

One further point:

I've checked msconfig/Startup and the VideoLUT is checked and listed as a startup item.

But, it's not loading on startup.

Is there a way of making Windows allow it to startup?

Gotta say that for critical colour work Vista x64 has not been a good decision on my part. I probably should have stuck with XP.

Thanks.

D.

Edited: I think I may have sorted this problem. If User Account Control is turned off (turning off Windows Defender and Firewall, as suggested elsewhere, has no affect) Vista loads the video LUT on startup.

Happy days! (at the moment!)
