Solved cant find anything under new when right clicking

hello i was just wondering i right click on the desktop and go under new and it just says empty and i try the fix for this one and nothing worked it just happened after i performed a system restore i really hope u can give me a solution thanks

You could run the System File Checker as the registry is missing the options for that context menu option. Open up a cmd prompt as administrator and type sfc /scannow. Otherwise undo the restore.

hello i tried that and it didnt seem to work also restored off disc and i already retry that i was wondering if u had any more idea or maybe those registry updates didnt work because im running home premium and 64 bit i hopw u can help me because this wasnt a problem until i restored

create another user account, Login to that user account and see if this persists :)

hey soo i created a new account and then i logged off but i couldnt sign on soo i restarted and it said welcome and the repeated with with logging off across the screen ssoo im not sure wat the prob is thanks hope u can help

Follow the steps here to enable guest account and login to guest account and see if this persists :)

im still having problem i cant find anything under new when i right click and it really bugging me, ok so i tried the create a new account didnt work the patch u suggested doesnt work soo if u have any more ideas pls help my computer kinda usally without this abltiy. also i cant add anything into my window start bar ive tried dragging things in and going into propertitys and add thing into but nothing show pls help with this 2 if u can

Clone,

Doing a System Restore using a restore point dated before this problem happened may be able to fix it for you.

Clone,

As a test, create a new administrator account to see if it works ok in it. If it does, then you can just copy over anything you wanted from the old account's user folders to the new account. After everything checks out ok, you can then delete the old account from within the new one.
