Keyhole DRM

Howdy Folks:

I'm having a problem that recently cropped up with the Digital Rights Management application. A couple of days ago I downloaded a game from a site for which I pay a monthly fee and have been using for nearly two years. When I downloaded the game and tried to open it I got a message telling me that the keyhole DRM application has closed. I have run a system restore to a date previous to the last Windows update. I have checked the Data Execution Prevention in the Advanced System Settings and all seems to be OK, although I'm not really too familiar with all the settings. I've downloaded games that worked properly a week ago and they won't open either. I have looked into my registry and can find nothing that pops out as being a problem. Any suggestions?
As an aside to the above, about a week ago whenever I attempted to open a video clip download, I started getting a message telling me the COM surrogate had stopped working. I went to the Advanced System Settings and set the COM surrogate as an exception in the DEP. This seemed to get rid of the problem for a while, but then it cropped up again. The COM surrogate still shows up as an exception. I have found a way to work around it, but with this new problem I'm wondering if I've picked up a bug that is attacking my registry and is being missed by my AV application.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Best Regards
Powell Lucas
