Vista - Weird - Very weird annoying problem

I have just installed ms office professional recently. I usually open this program for a game. When i open it it gives me this -- Imageshack - 85374956
It happened with this program. I dont think it does with the other ones..


This has not happened until i installed ms office 2007. im really pissed now because i have had quite alot of problems with it. I might just uninstall it and never install it again because its interfeiring with other programs. If anyone can help cool if not ill just uninstall it.

Nothing happens if you wait for it to "finish configuring"? May I suggest trying to run it as administrator? Even if you're running an administrator account, you may want to try and give the program administrator privileges; right-click on the program you're running and select Run as Administrator.

Tried both... still the same.. look at the image.. if i leave it it does it over and over again but if i click about 7 times cancel the program would open.

It's a bad install, something got messy in the registry. You have several options:

>> Use a registry cleaner (such as CCleaner) to clean up any mess that may cause this. (Some people on this forum might advise against using programs that tamper with the registry - either way, be careful what you erase from your temporary files and registry)
>> Uninstall and reinstall Office (requires install disc). I suggest using a thorough uninstaller like Revo to uninstall and make sure no traces are left behind to mess up the new installation.
>> Use OpenOffice instead of MS Office.

Why would you use microsoft office for a game. It has nothing to do with games and will slow down your gaming if it is open. It looks like it is associated with a shortcut when it shouldn't be

zigzag im not using it for a game... if i double click it thats what it shows me..

VaguelyRapt i might just uninstall it forever. because i also had a problem when i installed it there was no skin. no skin at all it was just like 3 small buttons where to close and minimize and maximize separated all together with a big space between them and all was white

Im waiting for a reply from zigzag - so ..no im not opening it with ms office.

Okay i uninstalled it and it worked! I might have a go later and try again. I also disabled uac

So for me its gonna be - Problem Solved
