Truncated error message window after disk operations

Hi everyone,

Has anyone ever seen the following "error" window pops up after a disk backup or defrag ? Does anyone know what it actually says, as it has been truncated/chopped ?

Any help greatly appreciated as none of my application vendors seems to know what it is. I am using vista business 64 sp2.

Screen shot of strange error window is attached.

Cheers,

Tony

Type wercon.exe in your search bar and press enter. The windows error reporting window will open.

there you can find all error reporting. Find related error to that time and post the details here

The problem is definitely VSS. I have tried reregistering DLL's and rebooting but it's still there. No errors show up with "vssadmin list writers" check.

Here is the actual error log FWIW:

Faulting application vssvc.exe, version 6.0.6002.18005, time stamp 0x49e02c5c, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 6.0.6002.18005, time stamp 0x49e0421d, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x0000000000048d50, process id 0x13ec, application start time 0x01ca25ade199b00d.

Cheers,

Tony

I would suggest you to run system file checker.
