I'm using Vista Home Premium SP2 64 bit. I'm getting this in my event viewer all the time, does anyone know what it means? Log Name: Application

that is something I have run across all too often. It is an app trying to write to excluded mem space because DEP is turned off. Data Execution Program is used to prevent malware from writing into reserved memory. To fix it you need to go to start>cpanel>system>advanced system settings>advanced>advanced and turn on dep.

Thank You so much for that response, it cured my problem. I've got good malware and anti virus protection so I feel OK, plus I'm behind a router.
