I am using Vista Ultimate 32-bit and I want to add a 'new folder' button to the button bar in my folder view. I do a LOT of file relocation and I make new folders constantly and want a one-click solution. I searched the forums first but found no solution. Thank you in advance for the help. I am NOT looking for a right-click option or a menu add-on. I just want a button.

You have the option on the organize menu in Vista. Organize, then new folder. Its two clicks. I don't think you can add it.

You can add it, as I had it once before I just don't remember how. As for your suggestions, it takes several seconds for menus to pop up and as I said, I deal with a LOT of folders and files. The extra two seconds per folder can add thirty minutes or more to what I am doing.....and yes I know all the tricks about speeding up menu pop and it just plain doesn't work on my system.

Download and install file menu tools. Through that software you can add create folder option on your right click menu and much more context menus..

Try and give me the feedback. Its completely free :)

In case you didn't happen to fully read my original post, i am not looking for a menu option because of the extra time it takes for menus to pop up on my system. I am looking for a button to place on the button bar in the folder view. I was rather specific in my original post. Try to pay attention next time.

download and install bxnewfolder.exe. once its installed, press f12 and you will get the dialouge box for giving name to the new folder. There will not be any time delay :p Have a try :)

Give me some time to add the newfolder button to explorer window.

Hope this will help. :)

Thanks, this is exactly the prog I was looking for, just couldn't remember the name, this give you a hotkey and a button. It is the same prog I used before the 'BIG CRASH'(insert ominous music) that claimed two hard drives. Thank you for finding it. You rock so hard.

now if I can just remember how to add the button
