I don't know why you can't find Delete in the context menu, but pressing Delete on the keyboard does just the same. Shift + Delete to permanently delete.

    Thanks for you attention.

I tried that but it had no effect. Is there any way to edit the activity window that comes up when you right clic on a file. Someone else suggests a file edit menu but it was for Explorer not Windows Vista

The windows box has the following options: Open, Edit, New,Print,Open with, Norton Antivirus,Send to, copy, create shortcut and properties. It doensn't have cut or delete

I clicked on that but it says that is for Explorer, not Windows Vista. Is there something further that I should do to take it to Vista?

Explorer is Windows' interface. When you're looking at your Documents folder, you're doing it in an Explorer window.

Have you got a write protection button on the stick?

Is it happening for all the files in your computer like desktop files, C drive files? or only for the files in your memory stick?
