writing mp3s to external device (psp)

Once I rip a cd into windows media player its fine and saves the files as mp3s.
But when I go to drag and drop the mp3s into my psp which is connected through usb, it comes up with an error and the mp3s don't copy to my psp.

Any ideas?

thanks

Are you dropping the files into the right folder in your psp? I vaguely remember a PSP that had different folders for music, video, system files etc.

How much space have you got left on your psp. And Frostmourne is correct, you have to add the music folder to the PSP, I had to do it for my Son. If you google psp music folder it should show you how to do it.
If you can not find the instructions let us know and we will look it up.

Re: writing mp3s to external device (psp)

Hey guys thanks for the replys. Ive been doing the same thing with my psp on my old computer, ripping them onto the comp and then dragging them from the folder into my music folder in the psp. Its just not working with Vista. I saw some threads online that people were having the same problems, not with psp as such but any external device copying files. and yeh I do have enough space etc
