Vista 32 closing automatically in 1 user id....

I have 4 user identities on my computer. Three of them work no problem. When I go into my user id (which is also the admin ID) it automatically reboots the computer. The computer starts up to the normal screen with the 4 user IDs on it. And as soon as I log into my ID it reboots in about 5 seconds once again. keeps happening

All 3 other IDs work fine. Whats up and can I fix it? I ran a McAfee full scan and nothing came up.

Thanks for any response

All the user accounts have lots of important e-mails and business files saved in documents. Won't doing this erase everything? Then I would have to set up all 4 e-mail accounts and all other settings again it sounds like a nightmare.

Can I somehow get into my docs in that bugged user account to burn them to a cdr?

what is causing this in the first place?

Thanks

There should be an option in the control panel to put the user files somewhere. Something might have corrupted key system files.

Which control panel are you talking about?

The user id in question does not remain open, it closes right down after the password is typed in the screen comes up for 2 seconds then restarts. So I can't use that one, which is the user ID with all the files in it.

if I make one of the other user IDs the admin......is that what you mean..then use the control panel from that to transfer the files to a working user id?

Thanks for reply I appreciate your time

If you have the room and the time make a back up. You can always go into your admin account and get your e-mail and docs. If you dont want the comptuer to re-boot when you try to go into your admin account you can go into the system control panel>advanced system properties>advanced>startup and recovery>uncheck auto reboot

Let us know what else we can do to help

I unchecked auto reboot in systems and the user id still closes down when going into it.

......anyway......how do I go into the admin account and get to my docs folders to burn them to a cdr or transfer them to another user id?

I think that would solve this for me.

Thanks for that response zigzag3143

I figured it out. I went to my computer C.... then users..... then typed in the admin password..... then went to the broken user id and transferred the files to a working user profile my docs section.

Thanks for the help. I do appreciate it.
