HELP?

Confusion

New Member
I have just created a guest account on my laptop for a friend to use whilst they are visiting.
I have a slight problem though, and this is the first time I have experienced it.

The guest account can see ALL my files and folders and FULLY access them.

I dont know how or why this happened, but it has never happened before.

I have even tried encrypting/locking down/moving from public to private folders/checking the sharing folders/sharing settings etc, all of which are as they should be ie: No access to anyone but me.

But still .... the guest account can see all!

I wondered if it was a glitch ... so I turned off and back on, still shows all. I even created a standard user account, and surprise surprise that could see everything too!!

Does anyone know how I fix it so that only I see whats in MY account, and other users only see whats in theirs??

Thanks !

In the C:\Users\Your-User-Folder, right click and select properties, go to the sharing tab. Is there a button that says Stop Sharing or something similar? Under Advanced Sharing, is "Share this folder" unchecked? Under the security tab, who is under the "Group or user names" list?

You're using an administrator account yourself, correct?
