hi everyone

soz about title :confused: didn't know what to write

i have an acer 5735z (european) and recently reinstalled vista. performance has slowed down on gaming and aero performance. i have givin up on trying to find the fault and am now considering buying a graphics card. i am a kid so am waiting until christmas and ma birthday to get money. i reckon my budget would be £150 to £200. any recommendations? have been lookin at nvidia and amd and lookin the like of the ati radeon and geforce series.

Were you happy with the acer when you first got it? Its a laptop so installing a new graphic card may be difficult at best and more than likely impossible. Your current graphics chipset may even be built into the motherboard. If the performance has slowed down and you liked it when you first got it, a clean install would resotre that performance.

i was extremely happy! in every way it thrashed my m8's second hand apple ibook g4.
the graphics are integrated.
i did a clean install over windows seven rc.

the integrated graphics chipset is the intel 4 series express chipset family

i thought if you already had integrated graphics, and add a graphic card, i thought you could just switch between the two from windows can't you?
