Solved Officer Needs Help! 3rd and Main!

A: Smash the computer with a hammer?
B: Murder my Nephew?
C: pray that someone here can walk me through some kind of recover.

At this point, I am willing to write off all of the documents that may be lost.

Hello AB, and welcome to Vista Forums.

If you are able to, you can create a Vista recovery disc (from another computer if needed), then use it to do a System Restore at boot using a restore point dated before you had this problem to hopefully fix it for you.

I re booted and WTF!!!!!! Not only was the computer repaired.... all of my files are still there!!!! Brother...... I can't thank you enough. All of you folks who for some reason are willing to get involved and help guys like me are so valuable. I am pretty good in a gunfight but computers are a foreign language to me.
