Deleting PDFs

Hi to All,
Can any one out there help me? I have downloaded a couple of PDFs with file names that are too long, can't copy them to anywhere and I want to delete them. But I keep getting that the file name is too long. I have tried to rename them but I getting a message that I can't.

Help!!!!

Cheers,

Tallangower

Re: Deleting PDFs

Have you tried deleting it from command prompt?

The following is the syntax of the command

del c:\capture.png

The following command will delete capture.png from c drive.

You need t run the command prompt with administrative privilege

Re: Deleting PDFs

Hi delphin,

Thanks for your reply but I solved the problem. I read something about the pathways and that I had to make them shorter, so I moved the file to the desktop and tried to delete it from there. Guess what it worked! Next time I go to copy a PDF, I will rename it with a shorter name and I think I should not have the same problem again.

Thanks again for you reply and time.

Cheers,
