Solved Loading Vista Ultimate x64 on a SSD

I am thinking about getting a Solid State Drive. I prefer to get the intel brand, and the 80GB is within my budget. (The Intel X25-M)

The speed performance boost is the reason I am interested. If I want to keep my documents and games on my standard hard drive, and load Vista completly on my new SSD drive, would it be a good idea?

I know that my x64bit Vista Ultimate is at least 40GB, but not 100% sure if thats it. Plus I know it needs some extra space for other "stuff".

Thoughts?

If you do not mind the price for them, you will see a increase in performance. This link below shows you my older SSD compared against a fast SATA HDD. The newer SSD drives these days are even faster.

I would keep anything that you run on regular basis on the SSD for it to open and run faster as well. Just remember that you do not want to run a disk defraggmenter program on a SSD drive. It can reduce it's lifespan.

However, what about space? Is 80GB enough? I really only use thie computer for WoW and Internet browsing. That plus the Operating System, is that big enough?

That should be plenty. You can use your old SATA to store any backup or nonsystem files to save space if you ever needed to though.
