I am new to vista 64. I was having a problem getting a printer driver installed. The printer is connected to a computer running XP. I finally got the driver installed. Today when I tried to print a pdf file to the printer the computer locked up. I could not open anything but the task manager and could not access that. I was able to restart the computer and now the only thing I can access is firefox and only if I open it before the computer is fully started. Everything has the rotating circle when I move the cursor over it except the start button. When it is clicked on nothing happens. This is the second major problem that I have had with Vista 64 the first was caused when bringing my settings over from my old computer. I had to reload vista64 from the backup disks. Is there anyone that can help me, I don't want to have to reload again.

Thanks David

A PS to this post. I have an external USP 1TB HD on the system and the access lights are both lit up. The HD is not being accessed, at least not that I can tell.
