| vista home premium x64 | Media Player CONSTANTLY starts it self even after closing. Ive looked everywhere on the net and cant find an answer. Running the the latest media player on vista x64. It keeps auto starting itself randomly during operation. when i close it, it automatically starts itself in a second. even after rebooting. ive got all my up dates on vista. no viruses or malware, no media player in start up. major issue is that i cant type anything with media player poppign up and pulling me out of the screen im working in. (took atleast 10 mins to type this) HELP! |

| Vista Ultimate x64, SP2 | Re: Media Player CONSTANTLY starts it self even after closing. Hello cmos, Try this: Go to your Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services. In the list on the left side, find the name of the service you want to change (Windows Media Player); go over to the Startup Type column and change it from automatic to manual |
