Anybody familiar with changing the theme in Vista?

This forum has been pretty helpful, so I thought I'd ask, since I've never been able to find any answers. People would tell me: Download Vista Glazz, patch the files, download a theme, extract it to Windows > Resources > Themes. I've done that, but no theme shows up, only the default ones. Browsing for it doesn't help either. Sorry if I'm not being very clear. But I guess all I'm asking for is a little tutorial so I can change the theme. Where to extract, where each file should be, etc.

If you want my advice, do not change the theme except for the defaults provided. The theme rules a lot of system functions (e.g. the recycle bin) and I have seen too many people run into problems with those "fancy" themes.

You are on the right track- Download Vista Glazz, patch the files, restart PC, download a theme, extract it to Windows > Resources > Themes. Then (look at screen shots) open new theme folder (in Windows > Resources > Themes) & open the en-US file copy & paste the .msstyles.mui file to the Windows > Resources > Themes > en-US .
Then copy & paste the style file to (look at screen shots) Windows > Resources > Themes. Then restart PC. Then right click on desktop go to Personalization then to Windows Color and Appearance then to Open Classic Appearance properties for more color options (look at screen shots) then then pick one of the Windows Aero themes & apply. Depending how "deep" the theme is, once you patch with VistaGlazz and reboot, you should be able to just double click the .msstyles or .theme file once you put the theme files in position under the Resources\Themes folder.
