Set specific apps to work on secondary monitor?

Hello, could someone tell me if its possible to have my laptop have windows media player playing on my secondary monitor whilst still having my main monitor free to let me work at the same time?

Thanks.

Hello PainlessTorture,
If your second monitor will work on your laptop, then yes you can, i have mine playing music or videos all the time when I'm surfing.
You need to set it as "extended desktop".

Can you explain exactly how to do it?

Do I need to drag the window over to the other monitor and then maximise it?

Re: Set specific apps to work on secondary monitor?

Right click desk top and open Personalisation, go to Display Settings, there you will see your two screens, you can drag the screens to fit you setup, if your second monitor is on the right of your primary monitor, drag the second screen to the right, (or left as the case may be), you have to think of your second monitor as an extension to your desktop, it helps if you look at the two as one big desktop.

If you start the Media Player minimised, drag it over to your other screen, it's just the same as moving it across the desktop, you just go off one screen and on to the other. Once there, you can do what you like with it.

Hope this helps, sorry it's so long, but it's kinda hard to explain if you know what i mean. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
