Default vs. Administrator

Is the Default Account the same as an Administrator Account? I ask because I'm currently locked out of my computer, and only can see a Windows Vista Home Premium login screen with a cute doggie picture and DEFAULT user. I'm asked to type in my password (hint: keyboard), and have no recollection of even making a password.

Have read the suggestions related to Administrator password recovery - is this the same fix for Default? I have OFFLINE NT... burned to disk, as well as Trinity TRK 3.3 on another disk ready to try. Tried ORPCRACK or something like that (can't recall exactly) last night - and it didn't work.

Any help much appreciated.

don't know quite what you are asking but if you have a password reset disc that would be the obvious thing to do, i'm assuming that you don't have one.

as i said i'm still not quite sure what you asking or why the thread is called default vs admin but my friend tried this to reset his password on xp.
