Too many chefs in the kitchen

Being new to Vista but having had a lot of experience and experiences with XP I am just to the point of being dangerous. My problem is that I have not been able to use the Easy Windows Transfer Method. $30 for the cable and software and nothing happens after 10+ hours. I resorted to copying files from XP to Vista. Everything seems to work ok but I now have three users and I only need one. It appears that the two extra users have valid files listed and the two users do not have identical files. I only need one account. Can I just cut and paste?:D

probably but is gonna get really messy. thats one reason MS recommends clean install. If you dont need the other 2 users you can delete them in user control panel and it will ask you if you also want to delete the files. You make the call. If it was a custom install you also have a windows.old folder in c:\windows after you are done with the transer and you are all set up you can delete the folder

Hi Ken,
Thanks for the encouragement. I was able to delete one of the unnecessary identities but the second one has different files than the main-administrator account. I am a little reluctant to just cut and paste files that are not at least similar to the main-administrator account.
