After un-installing a game, I cannot delete shortcut on desktop...

I uninstalled a game, but the game never uninstalled the shortcuts on the desktop. Upon attempting the deletion of these icons a window pops up and says it cannot locate file and will not delete... please help :confused:

A reboot often cures that. If not let us know

I hate to use "safe mode" for two answers in a row. Ken's suggestion is best. If that doesn't work, reboot into safe mode, then back to normal.

Or press F5 to refresh the desktop if the icon will be deleted anyway after an uninstall.
