Service Pack 2- password reset

I installed the Vista Service Pack 2, and now my password is no longer valid so I can't log in. I have attempted to enable the administrator account and restore the computer to a previous date prior to installing the service pack to no avail. Now, I can no longer log in as myself, guest, or administrator. Suggestions?

Reboot in safe mode with command prompt. if you get to the command prompt type netuser administrator (password if there is one-- will only have pword if you have enabled this previously).. like this net user administrator /enable:true. If that doesn't work try net user administrator /enable.

If you cant get to cmd from safeboot try booting from vista dvd and try a restore if you have a backup to restore.

I attempted to reboot in safe mode with command, and it went straight to the regular log in screen. The one time I managed to get to a command prompt, I attempted "net user administrator /enable" and it didn't do anything. Now, I can no longer get it to do anything after hitting F8 because I can't log in as either myself, guest, or administrator to get to a command prompt. Suggestions?
