| Ubuntu 9.10 64 Bit | Collection of Batch files for everyone to use! Hello, I've been reading a lot on the internet about vista problems, errors, etc. and one of the first checks someone tells the OP is run sfc. Well more than likely if they are posting in a forum asking for help, they don't know how to do it, or what it does. That's the main batch file I made, I also made one to show wireless signal strength, one to defrag the hard drive, and one to clear the dns cache. I know its not much but I'm just trying to help some of the folks that dont know vista so well and are having a hard time... I'm working on some finishing touches so they look nice then I'm zipping them up and posting them here |

| Vista home premium 64 bit | Re: Collection of Batch files for everyone to use! It may be an idea to show the code. You can get a usb memory stick to autorun with different options 1 run sfc 2 run chkdsk etc. It would be handy for diag. |

| Windows Vista Enterprise x64 SP2 | Re: Collection of Batch files for everyone to use! What about creating a batch file that runs a utility that you can pipe the results to a text file? Then the user can upload that text file back to this forum. |

| Ubuntu 9.10 64 Bit | Re: Collection of Batch files for everyone to use! I'm sure I can do it, I believe the REM command will do that. Which utility would you like that option for? |
