Solved i need help some one come before i die of boredom

hi as you can see im an annoyed brother atm my sister wont make my account an admin which is a major problem for me because when i try to download games or update them such as wow, soilder front and combat arms an error messege will pop up and say you need admin rights to continue! before this problem it was the fact that i had to get her to type in her pass word to install anything so she did some editing as far as i can see so it no longer ask's for her pass word but now gives me this messge im a standard user and im useing vista home premium 32 bit operating system. if anyone can tell me how she can grant me admin privleges that would make my day ty.

Hello annoyed brother, and welcome to Vista Forums.

She will have to change your user account type to be administrator type instead of a standard account. Seems to me that is exactly what she does not want to do though. You'll have to talk to her to see what she wants to do.

well she doesent want me to be admin but she will grant me the privleges if thers a way
and its realy mine to the fact that im the only one who useing it everyone has the own labtop

Sorry, but only an administrator can install anything since you have Vista Home Premium and not Ultimate, Business, or Enterprise. They have the Local Security Policy feature that would allow her to change this for you. :(

awww then what would be the whole point of the messege saying that i need admin rights if theres no option available for me to install without haveing my account type changed

well that sucks why would my noob sister care about that anyway

she doesent mind me downloading the game she just hates haveing to get up every 10 mins to type her pass word in. there should be some type of program that lets standard users download depending on the category and level of the download

when i download a file and try to run it it tells me i need admin rights and idk if she evan knows how to give me admin rights

Well she obviously does if she took them away.

Anyway, if she doesn't want you to be an administrator on her computer, that's her choice. Talk it over with her, and be polite.

you want her to give "them" (admin rights) to you without changing you to admin? if you explain to her why you need them she might make yoou an admin. Is she doesnt want you to have them then its her call.

If its her computer and she has things on it for work, or school, and you break it she would be pretty angry.

its not her computer my dad brought it in and im the only one who uses this comp. but let me get this straight there is not 1 possible way to let a standard user download freely?

If your the only one using it, then why does she have an admin account (1 user) and you have a regular account (2 users)?
