Hi, this happened all of a sudden, i can go into safe mode, but when i start up my laptop normally, a message saying, 'The instruction at 0x71301a47 referenced memory at 0x71301a47.The memory could not be read.' Please help. I cant even use my laptop, because it automatically reboots itself every time I log in. Everything seems to be going normal, but then the popup saying that message above shows and several seconds later it just reboots and gets to the login screen again. Please help.

Would you mind checking the error code again? Do you have have SP2 installed?

I currently have SP1 and the error code up there is exactly as it reads, checked a few times just in case and even took a picture of it. because it stays on the screen for only so long. Any ideas? Thanks a lot.

Thanks so much for the quick reply, but i'm currently running diagnostics, if that doesn't do anything i'll run that asap. Will i be able to download that in safe mode? (sorry if that's a dumb question, but I don't think i have internet in safe mode)

Run Belarc advisor in safe mode, then note your ram type or google your laptop model. Then replace the modules.

Thanks again for the replies, but I tried downloading memtest, but don't really understand how to install it, i tried the zips but nothing happens when i run it, except for the floppy one and i don't have a floppy drive on my laptop. Also, I tried belarc advisor, but when i get through to installing it, windows says that Rundll32 has stopped working so i can't d/l that.
Also, i ran my laptop again normally today and i got a diff. error message, reading '0x74221a47' and another time i got, '0x71591a47'

Try the built in memory diagnostic. Type mem in the start menu, press enter, accept UAC, then reboot. You can adjust the number of passes but let the test run, then take a look at event viewer or problem reports and solutions for the results, if nothing comes up.
