Re: Rundll32 & Windows Explorer Stopped Working

ATTN:KEN

I have tried rebooting in F8 ... np

Whether I try to go into safe mode / safe mode with networking / repair .. nothing seems to work ... continues to 'boot up' with same message ...

Windows Host Process Rundll32 has stopped working & Windows Explorer stopped working ... shut down ... keeps coming back up

I'd pull my hair out if I had any!!

You'd think REPAIR would do just that ... now what?

Is the data in the same partition as the OS?

when was the last back up you made?

Is there anything not critical that you can removing like usb drives, raid, second monitor.
Come to think of it I dont even know what you hardware is.

We can always do a upgrade re-install where you files and setting are kept in a folder called windows.old

tell me about your hardware

You may have to try a repair install. This will allow you to repair your Vista installation and keep your user account files, settings, and programs.
