Re: boot time

It shouldn't take that long. Even I have hybrid graphics which slow things down, but it takes around 95 secs to a working desktop after you enter the password, all up. What is listed in msconfig?

Re: boot time

Run the attached file to my post, zip the folder it creates, then post it in this thread so we can see whats running that is eating your resources. Plus, it will be less of a hassle for you to just upload it instead of typing everything

Here are my specs:
HP Pavilion Entertainment PC DV4-1220us
AMD Turion X2 2.1ghz
ATI radeon HD3200
4GB DDR2 Ram
250Gb @5400rpm HDD
Vista 64bit home premium

i had just recently re-installed vitsa about a 5 weeks ago using the original boot disk that i got with the laptop. because i had accendently deleted my cyberlink DVD suit. And i would say that its been booting up slow about a week before i did the re-install.

Re: boot time

Are there any bigger programs you installed recently? Also look into the startups and throw everything out (except the security program).
I had times up to 300 sec. after I installed a lot of programs - including vBox. And that was on a more powerful system than yours.

I had this a while back and do not loose your sleep over it, you'll find more funny re boot times in this thread. All I can say is that it will be alright after a few reboots. HTH.
