| Vista Home Premium x64 SP2 | Readyboost cache problem Okay, so I'm trying to free up space on my flash drive. I start by deleting the cache from the stick, and it asks me to "confirm this operation". I click Continue and then OK on the next dialog. But somehow, it doesn't register that I cleared the deletion of ReadyBoost. Moreover, when I tried to disable ReadyBoost via the properties, I got this message: A cache already exists on F:. Please remove the cache from that device before creating a cache on this device. HELP!!! I would really like more than 20 MB of free space on my flash drive!! |

| Vista Home Premium x64 | Re: Readyboost cache problem Have you thought about just reformatting the drive on another pc? I am sure that by doing that it will clear the cache in turn. |

| Vista Home Premium x64 | Re: Readyboost cache problem Im not the best at making hyperlinks but here is the easy way, at least I think. 1. Click on the Start orb 2. type Services and hit enter 3. Accept the UAC if you can have it on. 4. Scroll down the list and find the ReadyBoost Service. 5. Right click and click on Stop. 6. If you wish to have this disabled in the future, right click and hit properties and change the startup type to disabled not automatic. Doing this should disable readyboost on your system. Hope this helps. |
