cant play sony camcorder dvds

my friend has lent me a dvd with a recording of a sports game on it but when i try and play it i wont open at all, nor can i convert it using dvd to video file thing.

I tried to download the camcorders driver from the sony support site but need to have the actual camcorder to install it.

any one know what to do?

here is whats on the disc.

PowerDVD should play it. There is a demo to test.

Just for the heck of it, make sure you have the latest video codecs.

Did u download and install the codec?

have installed the codec that you linked to.
