i just put together a new system with:

evga x58 sli le mobo
intel core i7 920
6 gig patriot pc12800 DDR3 (tripple channel)
evga nvidia gtx 260 core 216 ssc
ultra x3 1000 watt psu
western digital caviar green 500 gig sata hd

every time i try and install vista ultimate x64 it freezes almost right after it loads all the files (when it gets to the screen with the typical blue vista background).
i've tried pulling out one memory dimm at a time (i read in a thread that was one guys problem) but still nothing happened (i did this many times to test all the dimms), i've tried plugging my hd and cd drive in different sata ports, and still no dice. i'm at a real loss as to what my problem is, and how to fix it, any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you

Hello helpmepleaz,
Does it really freeze..? i mean have you tried waiting for some time?
And it could be even a problem of your installation DVD... I can only tell this much at the moment but if you get anymore ways try them and if it still freezes call the microsoft help centre and tell them your problem.:)

Well then,
i think the problem is your installation DVD, try to install with another DVD if any of your friends have and use your key on it...:D give it a try if it is available...

Its the DVD 95% of install fails like this are from bad burns. You are just burning the single iso file right?
