| Vista Home | trouble downloading certain files. Why can't I access certain documents? I turned the Accounts Control off, but that didn't do the job. |

| Windows Vista Enterprise x64 SP2 | Re: trouble downloading certain files. When "access", are you trying to d/l them or open them? As Ken said, what are the file extensions? There is an association with file extensions and the programs that open with them. A doc file, for instance, would have .txt., .doc, .docx, .rtf., .wpd, and other fun extensions. doc and docx are recognized by MS Word. txt is usually opened by notepad. And so forth. |
