Opening multiple images in one window

I have Vista 64-bit & use Paint Shop Pro 7 to edit my pictures (tons of them). I just got this new computer with Vista - I had been using the same PS Pro program on my old XP machine. Now when I open multiple photos, they all open in separate windows. I really need them to open in the same window.
I did lots of searching on the web & found things about changing DDE things that do not work the same on Vista, that I can find.

I found this topic that was similar, but the answer didn't help me much:

I read a forum where the problem didn't happen in psp5, but did in psp7. Would you be able to install the latest, greatest version of psp and see if the problem still occurs?

Well, the website says there are no updates available. Actually, I have 7.05 and the site said the highest version in the 7.... series was 7.04. But no, I don't think there are any updates I can get - just buy a new program.

I was actually thinking of you trying out the newest demo to see if this is just an issue with version 7.

Ok. Got it installed. It works normally - opens the files all in one window.
Also, I had uninstalled PS Pro 7 & reinstalled it just to be sure that wouldn't fix it & it didn't.
But it only has a 30 day trial. Any ideas on how to get what I have working. I guess there should still be some way on Vista to edit how a program opens files???

Glad the newest version works. The problem is with the older version of software and not with Vista. You might try the psp forum.
