Partioned Drive

I am using Windows Vista 32 Bit, laptop, it came with a with a C:Drive & a D:Drive, is there anyway to remove or delete the D:Drive,as I do not use ut at all. I do not want it.Any ideas? Thanks Rip

the d:\ dirve can be deleted but make sure your system backups, and OS re-install may be hidden there

If you want to delete it you may need to use a 3rd party disk amangement app like paragons disk suite.

Ken, thanks,if I delete the D:Drive will I gain the extra GB on my C:Drive?,also,are there any freeware disk partioners?Thanks Rip

yes using a 3rd party app you can expand the c: partition. paragon has a 30 day trial that is free and there is partition wizard personal which is also free. either should do the job. partition wizard is simpler.

Ken, if I delete the D:Drive,using partion wizard,will I gain the extra GB, automatically,or do I need to do some fiddling?

rip you need to do some fiddling. Afer you delete D you are going to need to "expand" c: that will force a reboot for the changes to take effect.

Its pretty bullet proof. Just make sure you dont need D, and do a back up of C.
