Cannot extend volume

I am using Vista x64 with a 3ware 9650SE raid controller as a redundant raid5 data drive. I added a 4th 1TB harddrive, and I am trying to extend the volume to merge with the new space currently available. I can't seem to do that though because "Extend Volume" is greyed out, and I can't figure out what is wrong. Can anyone please tell me how to fix this? Attached are screenshots that may help.

Are you sure? I was under the impression that I can expand my Raid configuration when I want to without losing my data through OCE (Online Capacity Expansion). It is even in the 3ware controller documentation (attached below - page 140). I even did it once when going from raid1 to raid5, the capacity extended without a problem and with all my data intact. Why is it then that it will not work right now...

Raid 1 is mirroring, so you wouldn't lose any data. I don't think you could do that going FROM Raid 5, which uses stripping.

what partition type are you using? MBR has a limit of 2TiB. GPT would allow bigger partitions.

I'm interested in the outcome. I have a similar configuration here and want to use OCE to extend the capacity somewhere in the future.
