vista freezes with IPCAM

I just bought an IPCAM from ebay and it works only with IE on Win 2K and XP. When I use vista or firefox with IE tab on vista it opens up the IPCAM monitoring page and it works for 1 or 2 secods and then everything frezees still. The only way to recover is to power down the laptop. CTR-ALT-DEL does not work.

Did you check if the ICAM even works with Vista?

It's not a brand name. It does not even have a brand.
On the box it's written: "IP Wireless/Wired Camera Night Vision & Remote
Pan/Tilt Rotate + High Sensitive Microphone"
The only thing I can get out of it is: Model: VNT6656G6A40.

I don't think this refers to the cam, just the wireless usb.

That's an wireless USB module.
From Google what I get is that it could be a FOSCAM camera.
Anyway I am still looking to find out why vista freezes and 2K and XP are OK with it.

Nope ! That's the only number I can get from the unit itself. It is an IP camera but it does not have a brand. Form my own "google" search it looks like a "foscam" but I can not say for sure as I read that there could be replica as well.

My Computer

It looks like the DVM_IPCam2.ocx ActiveX Control is causing the problem.
It shows the following folder when I display its property:
C:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files\CONFLICT.11
I cannot locate CONFLICT.11 folder.
Any ideas ?

I have the same camera off ebay. it is not a Foscam. I have vista and that same thing happens to be but its not a vista issue. If you use firefox as your browser it will not feeze up but you lose some functions such as multi device settings. it has to be an issue with IE. If anyone figures it out please let me know. My email is [email protected]. Thanks.
