EDIT that code is hard drive related. did you have previous problems with it?

Probably you have bad sectors on your hard drive.Use manufacturer tool to diagnose:Bootable Hard Drive Diagnostics - Vox

This is a hard disk error code. You could try booting up with Knoppix to pull important data off the drive. Or, try re-installing the operating system. Either way, I'd recommend running a thorough diagnostic on the drive.

What are you doing?Knoppix or offered by me tools are bootable tools.You have to download image,burn image into DVD ,boot this DVD and scan disk!

1.Probably you have corrupted disk -not good idea install any OS on corrupted disk
2.Ancient system - I'm surprised somebody still store this ancient OS
3.None OS from Windows family have appriopriate good tools to diagnose hard disk.Tools like checkdisk or scandisk (from 98) are too weak
Of course you need any other computer to download & burn DVD
