Folder Problem Contacts > Windows

Sorry, I could not find the correct place to post this.


Basically some how I accidently moved my Contacts folder into my Windows folder. Now the Windows folder template has dissapeared and in place of it is the Contact template, when I open it i can add and remove contacts but inside the folder is all of the Windows sub folders.

How do I get this back to normal please, I am afraid someone else will hop on my computer and carelesly delete my contacts folder which contains all those subfolders.

I did try one result i saw about going into regedit and deleting those "Bag" files but they didnt work.

Please help will be most grateful

Ahh, No it still is the same. I go to my documents where my music, picture, downloads folders are and i go into contacts and it goes into Windows folder. But windows folder does not exist anymore.

I tried cut and copy all the subfolders in their into a new folder called Windows but it would not let me create a new folder called Windows, as it said it was already created.

When i turned on my laptop this morning it asked to run a system repair. It repaired somthing then it asked to do it again and this time it could not repair something. I hope this is not effecting my laptop.

I am also wondering if there is some way I can fully return my LAPTOP to like i just purchased it, no games or software that i got for it basically want to wipe everything and start again. Just like i took it out of the box.

See if using OPTION THREE in the tutorial below to restore the Contacts folder default location may be able to help.

You can do a OEM factory restore to make it like the day you first got it, but that will include everything that was on it originally as well. If this is what you would like to do, then post back with what brand your laptop is. I'll post back with a link on how from the computer manufacturer's website.

hye brink i am on a different computer now having some major troubles with the laptop. i did the recovery thing i didnt choose to back up my files because i dont want all the crap i had.

So it did the recover and retsart itself when it goes to login it gets an error that says "Windows could not complete the installation. To install windows on this computer, restart the installation." i click ok and it just restarts the laptop and does the same thing over and over. it logs in to the desktop then quikly restarts itself.
