Hello Jack,
You might check using STEP SIX in the tutorial below as a guide to see if you have a "Power Management" tab to uncheck the "Allow to wake computer" option in it for you mouse in Device Manager.
Power Options and Sleep Mode Problems
If not, then you can use the STEP FIVE section to manually disable the mouse from waking up your computer.
Just be sure that you at least have the keyboard allowed to wake up the computer, or you will have to press the case power button to wake up your computer instead.
Hope this helps,
Shawn
Also check your BIOS, newer mainboards will allow you to control which peripherials can wake the computer when it is "sleeping". I have a dell laptop and i know mine does, even shuts off the USB ports from taking input causing it to wake.
Clicking in the power mgmt section of the mouse device manager worked like a charm. Thanks to all.
Jack

You're welcome Jack. I'm happy to hear all is ok now.
You might keep an eye out for newer driver versions for the mouse. This issue may be fixed with a future updated version hopefully.
