It;s been awhile since I built my last computer and now I have built a new i7-860, 8GB RAM, dual 10000 WD 3000HLF VelociRaptors, 2 Nvidia GTX 275 to power 4 monitors. Here's my quesion. Does anyone know where I can get the sequence for loading up the drivers, RAID, windows 64bit, etc. I just can't for the life of me remember what sequence this needs to be done. Many thanks.

Vista and win 7 make it easier on you. they will find many of the drivers and install them automatically. So vista first (but have the RAID driver ready) and during the install it will ask you for the raid driver. Install that and let it finish. when you are finished go into device manager and see what didnt get installed and download them

We can help you thru this when you are ready feel free to ask

Good luck mate

Ken, thanks so much. I remember when I loaded Vista 64 bit on my other computer and it was a mess. I think it was this group that helped me then. Again thanks.

2 275's? Why not a 5870?

I put an NVIDIA NVS 440 to control 4 24" monitors in my SYS A computer, It's a core 2 duo and is fast as all get out, except for the video. On a system speed test, the video is very slow. The card only had 256 MG of memory. I looked at posssible replacements and at first came up with 2 285's but for the performance difference and the cost difference, I decided to go with the 275"s. I get a lot more memory support on these cards also so I should seea big performance increase. I hope moving the cursr across all 4 screen works better than my Nvidia NVS 440. Here's hoping they work fine in supporting 4 monitors. MWC
