Hi ,

I have 298 gb HDD on new hp Vista Laptop, C: 284 gb, D: drive for recovery, 14.4 gb

Now i wanted to partition C drive into 2 partitions , one for OS and applications another for Data, say 100 gb and 184 gb partitions

I tried using Vista Disk mngmnt tool but using that i was not able to create partition more than around 120 gb, so i used Acronis Partition Expert as suggested in the forum.

I created partitions using that of 100 gb and 184 gb, now i can see the 184 gb partition in acronis s/w but not using windows explorer , i m not able work on that 184 gb partition, it was a logical partition.

Please help me in this regard.

Try Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Disk Management.

If all goes well, you should see the partition in question and/or be able to create and format one.
