user accounts

Hi I'm a silver surfer who was reasonably confident on XP but new laptop came with Vista home. I bought an easy transfer cable and that worked fine but now I have 2 user accounts, one with all the new stuff on it and the other with the transferred documents.
When I am on the XP user ac I can't get back to the new ac without restarting. I have no need of 2 user accounts as I live on my own and would appreciate any help as to how I can combine the 2 accounts into one. Or failing that how to switch easily between the 2

Thanks in anticipation

TY Zigzag, tried it but a bit complicated for me and link didn't include Vista.

TY Frostmourne, took your advice and it worked

Best regards
