BSOD NTFS driver fault

I've done a memtest86 ran it for 8 passes no errors.

I have quite a few minidump files and a dxdiag attached.

These BSOD basically happen when I am using a lot of USB devices it seems or anything that uses internet. I use a Hawking hi-gain USB dish hwu8dd rev. b and my mouse and keyboard are USB.

Could it be a possible failing hard drive? I've made sure all of my cables were secured correctly.

I've also made sure I am virus free and malware free I use avast anti-virus.

My system is stable if I am not doing a lot of things at once. But if I am running a browser or two, a game and an email client I will get a blue screen shortly after. I've noticed this problem while watching youtube videos or hulu I am guaranteed a blue screen.

I've done a SFC /SCANNOW in safe mode as well as a chkdsk /f nothing seems to resolve the issue.

I've gotten blue screens in the past and it seems to only have gotten worse now I can't do much of anything. I've recently added a webcam which is USB but removed it to see if it was causing the issue and still the same problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ok I have done everything that was offered as advice and none of it solved my problem I actually got a blue screen without my graphic or audio drivers installed while downloading the drivers to reinstall them. I tried the clean boot. I suppose my next solution is a format and reinstall. Any other suggestions before I reinstall my OS?

I don't see your system specs, but it seems like there is a fair power load there. Before you go and reformat you may want to try two things. Run your HD manufacturer's diagnostic to check your HD and if you can, try a different power supply. Just a thought.

Lot's of errors referring to the disk sub-system (with the file system being a major concern).

As such, I'd try these 2 tests before doing anything else - that way if the hard drive is dying, you won't waste your time on the other stuff.

To test your physical hard drive, try one of the tests at this link: HD Diagnostic

Once that's done, go to Start and type "cmd" (without the quotes)
At the top of the search box, right click on the Cmd.exe and select "Run as administrator"
Then type "chkdsk /r" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Then answer "Y" (for yes) and press Enter when it asks you if you want to run it on the next reboot.
Then reboot and let the test run. Let us know if it finds any problems.

Then...
Please go to Start and type "msinfo32" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Save the report as an .nfo file, then zip it up and upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.

You also have a few older drivers that could be causing issues with your system:
Code:
nvstor.sys Wed Jun 06 16:34:00 2007 - nVidia storage drivers
athrxusb.sys Fri Dec 22 07:05:49 2006 - Wireless networking adapter

Please update these devices to the latest version, then visit Windows Update and ensure that your system is updated (in particular, update the system to Vista Service Pack 2).

My Computer

Ok basically I figured out that my USB hawkings high-gain internet adapter the drivers are not available for vista 64 and I did a google search for athrxusb.sys and found out it causes a lot of issues with a lot of people. Anyone have a good recommendation for a wireless adapter that works well with Vista 64 and in the future windows 7 ?

@usasma:

Looks like you were right I was just sitting on my desktop(the problem) and it blue screened and the fault was athrxusb.sys.

Wow all this for a faulty driver funny thing is it seems like it just started having issues...I bet microsoft is up to it...time bomb just in time for windows 7. *lol*

I have attached my systeminfo but this is after I had wiped my drive without any updates and still getting the BSOD.

By the way this community is fantastic! :D

I have replaced my HD with a second hard drive to test the theory reinstalled Vista 64 on it fresh install on a fresh drive..I even replaced my power supply with a 650 antec supply.
