I know my computer meets the minimum requirements, but minimum requirements don't mean jack. If you just meet the minimum requirements, odds are it won't run efficiently. So I'm wondering, do you think my computer has what it takes to upgrade to Windows 7?

Here are my specs

Sorry about the format. It was nice and spaced out, but once I submitted it blobbed it all together and made a paragraph. Funny how the smileys were made by ( C: )

Yes BUT that 4200RPM drive is useless, you will see the slowness, as 7 is big on disk activity if you 2GB RAM - which you do. So yes, it will work, but probably not very well. The GPU is also rather old. Best idea, run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor now. It will take a few mins, to double check.

The Windows Upgrade Adviser said it will work, but once again that is based on minimum requirements.

Exactly, any software/hardware issues? Just build a new desktop pc or go for a new windows 7 laptop.

Well, I'm a college student and I can't just build a new Desktop or buy a new laptop. A little short on money. Also, I've only had this laptop for 2 years. Would be a waste just to throw it away for a new system upgrade. I'll probably just stick to Vista for now.
